A thank-you for testing

The private beta is free for invited testers. As a thank-you for participating and sharing feedback, you’ll receive complimentary licenses for +SUM Channel and Master, including future updates and major-version upgrades, with ongoing support while the products are maintained.

This thank-you applies to +SUM Channel and Master, not other future Sound Chief products. There’s no purchase obligation. Public launch pricing will be announced separately.

Testing period

We’re planning a six-week private beta, starting when the first test build is made available to invited testers. Please share your first impressions within two weeks of receiving access, then keep the feedback coming as you use +SUM in your sessions. We’ll let you know if the testing period changes.

This is the planned feedback period, not a plugin expiration date.

Install when your build is ready

1. Check the tested system requirements above. Back up your sessions and use copies for beta testing.
2. Quit Pro Tools and unzip the approved download.
3. Read the included release notes. For a manual AAX release, copy the Channel and Master .aaxplugin bundles into:
   /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/
4. Keep a backup of any previous beta bundles outside the Plug-Ins folder. Avoid duplicate copies of the same plugin.
5. Open Pro Tools and test in a new session. If either plugin fails to load, stop and report the exact message—do not bypass macOS security protections.

Start with a level. Then listen.

Insert Channel on a mono or stereo track and Master on your mix bus. Set your target, choose PEAK or VU and press Learn while playing representative audio. Shape your sound, then use TRIM to compare your processing against a captured loudness reference.

Try one familiar session first. Tell us what feels clear, what slows you down, and anything that behaves unexpectedly.
